BCI

Applications

Brain Products offers a wide choice of solutions
for Brain Computer Interface both for beginners
and advanced users.

Brain Products offers several levels of access by
either connecting to the online data via TCP/IP,
a low-level hardware driver or through our
Real-Time processing software RecView.

Performing BCI with

  • Simulink

Our most recent developed solution for BCI uses the Matlab based
Simulink for hardware setup and incoming data visualization.
The extensible block diagram environment is very easy to use and offers
a variety of already implemented graphical and processing tools.

  • BrainVision RecView

This solution, originally designed to remove gradient and pulse
artifacts in real time during EEG/fMRI coregistration, is now enriched
with a broader choice of online analysis options such as data ? lte-
ring, FFT, mapping of the surface potentials and BCI. The picture refers
to a simple BCI example in which the subject is asked to relax in order
to evoke alpha activity. By looking at the signal power in the alpha ran-
ge a feedback is given. The happy smiley indicates high alpha activity,
the sad smiley means low alpha activity and more relaxation required.
With its very easy-to-use interface, RecView allows programmers to
approach the fascinating world of BCI within a continously supported and
expanded platform.

  • Software Development Kit

For most advanced and expert programmers, Brain Products offers the
software development kit.
The SDK is a very powerful tool-kit that allows setting the hardware,
performing impedance measurements and capturing the data directly
from the ampli? er without any additional delay introduced by interfa-
cing software.

All the before mentioned solutions are supplied with comprehensive manuals and several
examples compiled directly by expert programmers to help you with developing your own
experimental setup
